FORUM RULES
In the interest of maintaining the family safe atmosphere here at HRFBODY and allowing our community to continue to grow problem free we ask the you abide by these forum rules. You hereby agree to this set of rules, when you register on this site.
Please remember that being a member at hrfbody.com IS NOT A RIGHT. The forum is a private enterprise and its owner has the right to establish rules of behavior for participants. The owner reserves the right to deny your use of this service at any time, without stated reason. The owner reserves the right to use the site for any purpose or change the service or content.
Participants who agree to follow the forum rules and then don't will sometimes find that their inappropriate posts have been deleted. A pattern of such defiance of the forum's rules/guidelines will jeopardize a member's posting privileges.
BEHAVIOR GUIDELINES WHILE POSTING
- Please keep inappropriate language to a minimum
- The Forum's software is set up to block certain words and terms we consider being inappropriate for use on the site. Typically, the words and terms included are those that are crude, vulgar and/or involve racial epithets.
That does not mean the software will block all inappropriate words or phrases. Setting it up to do so would be an exercise in futility because we wouldn't be able to identify everything that should be included or the exceptions when the term or phrase would be acceptable in a particular context.
Altering the spelling of words/terms to bypass the blocking feature of the software is in conflict with Forum rules. Moderators try to show some tolerance if the word/term is altered enough so as not to be blatant. As a guideline, moderators often will ignore an otherwise inappropriate word or term so long as at least two letters of the word/term have been omitted or changed to symbols.
They cannot ignore words/terms (even with altered spellings) that are used to convey hostility toward other Forum members.
It's also inappropriate, of course, to introduce inappropriate language to the Forum via images or links.
The judgment of moderators will be final in such issues because the moderators are charged with using their best judgment in maintaining a level of civility that ensures the Forum is a fun and friendly place for car enthusiasts to hang around.
- HRFBODY reserves the right to remove usernames it deems inappropriate.
- PERSONAL ATTACKS/FLAMING:
- Any form of direct or indirect personal attack or harassment is unacceptable behavior and is not tolerated. If you find something extreme or offensive posted on the boards, do not respond to it, privately or publicly. Instead contact a site moderator or administrator.
- Pornographic Material:
- HRFBODY does not allow any pornographic material OF ANY KIND on it's forum. This is inclusive of any links to pornographic sites/pictures. Any forum user found to be posting pornographic material will be banned with immediate effect.
Definition of Pornographic: Sexually explicit pictures, writing, or other material whose primary purpose is to cause sexual arousal.
We are willing to accept that certain car show events display women posing with vechiles, so long as it does not contain full nudity and we prefer you to use your discretion on the content before posting. With this, the HRFBODY reserves the right to be flexible and retain its car club and family orientated ethos.
- MARKETING/SPAMMING:
- Any form of direct or indirect marketing, unless otherwise authorized by the HRFBODY is strictly prohibited. If you wish to advertise to the HRFBODY audience please contact webmaster@hrfbody.com with your request. Remain friendly and civil.
- Do not use HRFBODY to spam others. Spam includes sending identical and irrelevant or unsolicited submissions to many different users, and includes misrepresenting the source of anything you post.
- Forum members are welcome to sell a f-body or f-body parts they purchased for their own personal use. Anything else is considered to be a commercial sale. No links to eBay sales, please. If the sale is appropriate for the Forum, post it on the Forum, rather than linking to it elsewhere.
- Members are not prohibited from mentioning it when they have a good (or bad, for that matter) experience with a vendor. But such mentions cannot be so specific (address, phone number, e-mail address, URL, price, part number, etc.) and so frequent that they become marketing and promotional references.
- Members can include a mention of their personal businesses in their signatures so long as the enterprise is not so detailed or so frequently appended to their posts that it becomes inappropriate marketing and promotion.
- Copyrighted Materials:
- Please do not post unauthorized, confidential or copyrighted information on the message boards without permission.
- If you are posting a news clipping or something from another site, please include a SOURCE and URL if possible.
- Avatars:

- First Warning: a gentle reminder/warning (indicating/placing reference to a more formal warning - if applicable)
- Second Warning: a more formal warning (indicating/placing reference to first warning/and continued action of misconduct) - this leading to a possible Temporary or Automatic ban.
- Temporary Ban: constitutes a one month ban - if applicable (placing reference to ALL previous warnings).
Note: During this temporary ban the member or forum user will be permitted to view, but not post.
- Automatic Ban: an immediate ban (with reference to ALL previous warnings including Temporary Ban).
Note: This particular ban means that all traces of your details will be removed/deleted from the ffoc database permanently.
- Rebutals: Should you have a dispute with a moderator/administrator, and you feel you were unfairly punished, DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES start a new thread or continue to broadcast your disapproval openly on the forums. Doing so will be reason for the above actions. If you have a dispute, you may private message or email the administrator of the site, and he will decide on a case by case basis.
- SERVICE DENIED: There may be times when a forum member becomes so annoying to fellow forum members and/or moderators -- even without specifically violating any forum rules or the code of conduct, that the appropriate remedy is just to deny service to them.
